Beth Hopkins Devan Email and Phone Number
Hi! I'm Beth - an LMS Administrator, eLearning content creator, and pandemic career changer.💡 My Expertise:Since 2013, I have created innovative, engaging learning experiences to expand the knowledge base of adult learners. As an Instructional Designer and eLearning Developer, I design and develop eLearning courses, videos, job aids and infographics to meet the needs of adult learners and fulfill business goals. As an LMS Administrator, I manage all aspects of hosting a successful Learning Management System such as vendor relations, integrating other applications, content curation, and user support.📚 What made me who I am today:As a teacher’s daughter, a love of learning and educating others was instilled in me at a young age. Growing up, I had many different interests, but landed on starting my college career majoring in Secondary Education and Mathematics with hopes of becoming a high school math teacher. Through my college experience, I learned that teaching at the high school level wasn’t for me, though my love of educating others never wavered. It was at this crossroads that I found a career path in higher education – working with learners outside of the classroom to develop skills that would help them become engaged citizens and lifelong learners.Throughout my years working in higher education, I had the opportunity to be creative in the way that I engaged learners and shared knowledge. Whether it was educating learners in first-year seminar courses, sharing technology resources and processes with colleagues, developing resources such as job aids or workbooks, or simply having a conversation with a learner about their goals; I love developing curriculum and learning content, and seeing learners connect their new knowledge to their work or life. These experiences in higher education lead me to wanting to pivot my career to Learning and Development. In 2021, I was able to make that a reality by becoming an eLearning Content Specialist.💖 Special Interests:CrochetPaleo bakingEverything DIY (cider, kombucha, soap making, old home projects)Sustainability🏆 Clifton Strengths:Deliberative, Learner, Adaptability, Relator, Intellection
