About Beth Khalifa

Beth is a co-founder and owner of Designbox, a global innovation house. Since 1995, Designbox has been involved in launching products, brands and experiences for clients around the world. Beth directs the graphic design and branding projects for clients worldwide and for internal projects such as Lyf Shoes, SPARKcon and Gamila. Client strategy is focused on telling the entire brand story...from identity and print to retail experience to online presence and commerce to social media connections and customer engagement. In 2003, Beth and Aly launched a gourmet accessories brand, Gamila. Flagship products, The Teastick and the Impress Coffee Brewer, are single serve brewing devices with a mission of quality + sustainability. As Creative Director, Beth focused on messaging, publicity, and sales strategy. In 2014, sustainability heroes, Seventh Generation, purchased the business of Gamila and began marketing the products under the Bobble brand as The Teastick and Bobble Presse. Designbox has sprung a number of community projects which Beth and Aly facilitated. These have ranged from sculpting an undesireable landfill into a fun urban parks to rethinking Raleigh's own self image. The latter eventually led to Designbox's creation of SPARKcon, the Triangle's first Creative Conference, and enabled the Triangle to stake its claim as the "Creative Hub of the South." As of 2014, SPARKcon engages with more than 50,000 people each year, and has become one of the yearly gems of Raleigh, showcasing the vast creativity of the region and proving the link between a thriving creative scene and a thriving economic environment.Specialties: branding, design strategy, messaging strategy, graphic design, user experience, web design
