My job at Quicken Loans allows me to do a variety of things. I focus mainly on supporting a client facing website, but also get to work on loan origination processes and a business partner portal. I like to solve puzzles, and I get to do that with my job. There is a business problem and a variety of ways to solve it. If I ask the best questions to the best people we'll get the best solution. That's the fun part.I think one of the things I'm most proud of is being a part of a very cohesive, productive team. We've figured out how to collaborate and communicate in a way that is really synergistic and as a team we are awesome!I am good at taking a problem with lots of unknowns and driving toward a solution. I start by drawing a picture indicating what we know and what we still need to figure out. I use this picture to include other people in the discussion and just keep updating and adding detail as we progress. This ensures everyone is working toward the same vision.There is a lot of freedom at Quicken Loans, and your opinion is valued. If you have a good idea you can pursue it. There are lots of smart people here who can help you get things done. The isms really do define the culture, they are not just something that is talked about.When I'm not working I love to spend time with my family and friends, I know, sounds cliche. We enjoy road trips to really anywhere, and we can always find something fun to explore. Several times a week my dog and I are out on the trails in the woods. I like to kayak, sail, bike, ski, and happy hour too.
