I also am pleased to partner with my Roots Financial Group teammates in other areas of the country where I am licensed.

Responsible for leading and implementing key aspects of the major and mid-level gift programs for both current and planned gifts to Lutheran World Relief (LWR), a top-rated international relief organization with an annual operating budget of $43 Million, by managing a portfolio of approximately 120 assigned donors and donor prospects in Central Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. Primary emphasis included utilizing moves management techniques to actively identify, qualify, and cultivate top major donors and prospects who have the capacity to make five and six-figure gifts. As one of only two Philanthropic Engagement (PE) unit members on the East Coast, represented donor interests and the work of PE at LWR’s Baltimore headquarters, engaging with other headquarters-based and international staff for Philanthropic Engagement-related projects, including the strategic and effective engagement of the President/CEO. Played central role on LWR’s constituent database (Raiser's Edge) team, helping to create methods for accurate reporting and data management that align with best practices

Developed and implemented the strategy for identifying, nurturing, soliciting, and managing major gift prospects primarily regarding the College of Arts and Sciences. Served as a key member of the professional staff supporting all fund raising functions including annual, capital, special interest, corporate, and foundation programs. Utilized the Moves Management philosophy, managing an active prospect/donor caseload of approximately 250 major gift donors and prospects requiring discernment of donor philanthropic interests, ongoing cultivation, timely visitation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts. Maintained current records on key moves utilizing Raiser’s Edge software. Developed and prepared written and audio-visual materials for major and planned giving solicitations, including the use of Crescendo Interactive software. Worked in cooperative manner with other SU Foundation and Shippensburg University personnel in achieving program initiatives. Assisted the Dean of the College with the identification and cultivation of College of Arts and Sciences Advisory Board members. Also provided support in identifying and cultivating departmental-level Advisory Council members for the Computer Science and Geography/Earth Science departments and actively participated in the establishment of a Communications Journalism Advisory Council. Played a key role in identifying, cultivating, and soliciting members for the Campaign Steering Committee and the College of Arts and Sciences Campaign Committee within the Charting the Course, Lighting the Way Comprehensive Campaign for Shippensburg University.

Responsible for managing fund development program for national organization, including annual, major, and planned gift cultivation and solicitation from individuals, congregations, corporations, and foundations. Developed practices and procedures for fund development program and established policies for gift acceptance, financial management, and donor privacy. Created and directed multi-faceted direct mail and personal solicitation strategies. Coordinated national fundraising events in cooperation with City Coordinators and Local Support Committees. Implemented cohesive brand identity and communications plan for entire organization. Managed design, production, and distribution of print newsletters, bi-monthly alumni e-newsletter, and other various publications. Administrator of website including instating online giving opportunities. Oversaw transition from Gift Maker Pro to Raiser’s Edge, with continuing management of database and training of staff for national use. Acted as staff liaison (co-chair) of Fund Development Committee. Supervised a Communications Associate and a Fund Development Associate. Assisted in development of operating budget, setting and tracking income goals while monitoring development and communications expenses. Participated in and co-lead weekly staff meetings, two staff conferences, and national volunteer orientation program. Cooperated with other department directors in Long Range Planning.

Developed, organized, and directed a comprehensive fundraising and resource development program. Position incorporated public relations skills in production of newsletters, annual report, appeal resources, other materials, and participating as representative of the Corporation meetings and events. Established and cultivated relationships with contributors, volunteers, congregations and personnel of the Lower Susquehanna Synod. Coordinated the development use of donor records and fundraising database with Office Manager, which included gift processing and acknowledgement, and management of the development office budget. Implemented and executed donor appeals, special and capital campaigns, major gift planning, special fundraising events, grant proposal writing, and was the staff person relating specifically to the Development and Endowment Committees. Special events included planning and organizing annual golf tournament and implementing and running benefit quilt auction. Maintained working knowledge of postal and bulk-mail regulations, brand development, production and printing of resources, and donor-centered fundraising techniques.
