In 2008, I decided to change my life - to step outside my comfort level and challenge myself to do things differently. So I trained as a boxer for the LI Fight for Charity, jumped out of a plane, and quit a full time job to start a women's business community - Moxxie Network.I wasn't sure where Moxxie was ultimately going but I knew there was a need for a unique women's business community where smart, savvy & sophisticated decision-making women could connect. I also knew that we had to assist younger women, both personally & professionally, and shepherd them into leadership positions.In 2010, Moxxie began its first individual mentoring program for female college students and in 2011 it began a group mentoring program for young professionals. By 2012, it was time to officially begin Moxxie Mentoring Foundation Inc with a mission to support and foster the career advancement and leadership development of young women.While Moxxie is a women's community, it is certainly not anti-men. In fact, I married a man – a great one. I had two other men who helped and supported me and Moxxie in the early days and still continue to do so. You see, it is the combination of men and women working together that produces the best results. And this is why Moxxie exists - to get more women into leadership positions in the boardroom and in government so that the collaboration of both genders' efficiencies can be obtained. That is when the magic happens! .When not running Moxxie Network LLC or Moxxie Mentoring Foundation Inc, I can be seen presenting on Networking, Corporate Mentoring, Branding and Founding a Woman's Group.
