Intimacy Coordination is an interdisciplinary practice essential to the filmmaking process that can help improve the safety of performers and ensure a consent-based workspace while filming scenes involving intimacy, nudity and/or simulated sex.When done with skill, empathy and care, the Intimacy Coordinator can provide the professional consultation, coordination and risk assurance stakeholders deserve, while fostering and upholding the creative environment directors and actors need to achieve the vision . With deep expertise in motion picture production as a producer, director and a storyteller, as well as lived experience that informs this work, I am able to integrate SAG-AFTA guidelines through-out the production process and assist in navigating the complexity and nuances of cultural differences, individual vulnerability, boundaries, open communication, set protocols, creative license, time-based work, and risk management.
