Work with WorkSource Seattle-King County, under the US Department of Labor's Employment Initiative, on two programs, Ticket to Work and Dislocated Worker. Ticket to Work: help people on SSI and/or SSDI to find meaningful work, get training for a new job and get the accommodations they'll need. Dislocated Worker: help people who have been laid off due to COVID find meaningful work or training for a new job. I work with clients on revising/updating their resume, finding jobs, practicing interview questions, navigating benefits and understanding accommodations.

Worked with area residents who were interested in starting a small business, connecting them to capital resources and training needed. Created websites and other advertising materials. Developed a digital seminar and a resources open house for area businesses. Consistently met COO monthly goals.Connected a business owner with a SCORE volunteer who got him the legal counsel needed when he was threatened with eviction. The building he was in did get sold, and SCORE got him funding so he could move to another place. Assisted clients with writing resumes, filling out applications, and searching for jobs. Connected them with ESL classes, training or education needed to get a job.Worked with companies to interview and hire clients.
