She has more than 20 years of public accounting experience working in both a client serving role and as a technical training developer. Beth’s client base is focused on privately held companies ranging from $15.0 million to $1.0 billion in sales. She serves a number of different industries, including manufacturing and distribution, for-profit health care, transportation, and employee benefit plan audits. Beth has extensive experience assisting clients through purchase price accounting transactions and complex debt and equity arrangements which are often prevalent with company acquisitions and private equity deals. Beth enjoys helping her clients by researching and developing implementation strategies as related to technical pronouncements including those issued by the Private Company Counsel of the Financial Accounting Standards Board. Beth came to Cohen from BDO USA, LLP where she was an Assurance Director for four years and prior to that from Ernst & Young LLP, where she worked in the assurance group for nine years and then as part of the global learning group where she was responsible for the technical accounting training material which was deployed to the staff.Beth graduated from The University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science in accounting and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and The Ohio Society of CPAs. She also serves as a Board Member for the American Red Cross of Greater Akron and Mahoning Valley and the Akron Zoo.
