Beth Reimer-Heck is a dedicated proud Calgarian having over 30 years of legal, executive and strategic acumen. Currently, Beth is Senior Counsel with Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, Canada’s largest law firm and she provides advice to a range of stakeholders on: business law, risk and compliance, public policy issues, corporate commercial and governance matters. During her time at BLG, she was selected as the General Counsel for Calgary 2026 Bid Corporation which was responsible for pursuing the bid for the 2026 Olympics. Prior to joining BLG, Beth spent the majority of her career with TELUS in management and legal positions that provided a wealth of retail, telecommunication and regulatory experience. Beth brings over 20 years of experience in corporate governance and is currently a director for public, private and not-for-profit corporations with extensive experience in strategy, risk, ESG, public policy, and regulatory matters. Beth is Lead Director of Kiwetinohk Energy Corporation, a publicly traded energy transition corporation, and an Advisory Member of Saskatchewan Mining and Minerals Inc, a private corporation and an Advisory Member of the Calgary Chapter of the Institute of Corporate Directors, a national director’s education organization. She believes in collaboration and community and has numerous community leadership positions including current Director of United Way of Calgary and Area, Past Campaign Co-Chair of United Way Calgary, Past Co-Chair of the Calgary Chapter of the Institute of Corporate Directors, Past Chair of HomeFront and Past Chair of Banff Centre Foundation and Past Vice-Chair of SAIT. She has been recognized for her contributions by being appointed Queen’s Counsel by her peers and 2019 Acritas Star. She has been spotlighted by Canadian Diversity Network’s symposium among leading female business leaders.
