Responsible for positioning the Association as a leader in prevention and management of diabetes in the community as well as establishing effective partnerships and collaborations with healthcare providers, corporation/community leaders, foundations and supporters. Establishes sustainable pipelines of revenue for Association programs and events through strategic partnerships and grant opportunities.Responsible for stewardship and recruitment within the medical community to board and committee positions, and establish high level volunteer partnerships in the healthcare sphere. Oversees staff responsible for youth initiatives, diabetes prevention and outreach efforts to high risk communities. Collaborates with community partnerships and initiatives. Additionally, this position is responsible for delivering current and relevant diabetes education through continuing professional medical education symposiums and community forums/ expos across the region.
