Chiropractic is a healthcare discipline that is centered on the role of the spine and central nervous system in maintaining good health, and leveraging the recuperative power of the body to heal itself naturally and efficiently. The practice of chiropractic focuses on the relationship between structure (of the spine) and function (as coordinated by the nervous system) and how that relationship affects the preservation and restoration of health. Chiropractors identify and correct the cause of health challenges which arise when misalignments of the vertebrae (the small bones that make up the spine) disrupt neurological communications between your brain and the cells, tissues, and organs of the body.Chiropractors correct these misalignments by gently adjusting the position of the vertebrae of the spine, reducing or eliminating neuropathy (changes in the pathology of the nerves) thus allowing your body to properly self-regulate, adapt and heal.

Responsible for the direct supervision of 10-15 Field Operations and Office Operations supervisors and the indirect supervision of approximately 400-600 crew leaders and enumerators, at peak operation, who work outside the local census office. I am responsible for accomplishing production and quality goals in field operations under their span of control. Conducts individual and group training sessions for their personnel as necessary. Directly supervises the activities of Field Operations Supervisors. Determines assignment areas for data collection activities. Manages material and assignment preparation for all field operations in their control. Responsible for the activities of the entire field workforce and several office workers during all field operations under their control. Responsible for the completion of field work in a timely and cost efficient manner. Assures that specific levels of quality and progress of field operations are being met through analysis of various computer generated reports and observation. Takes necessary corrective action to achieve goals. Acts as the principal technical advisor on field operations in the local census office area, answering inquiries from the Office Manager, and Field Operations Supervisors. Responsible for the successful completion of all assigned field operations. Will supervise enumerators and or crew leaders, in smaller field operations, when no Crew Leader or Field Operations Supervisor is authorized.

I provided technical assistance to five local census offices within L.A. County, with a team, of over 600, of managers, supervisors and enumerators in the office and in the field. Under the supervision of the Area Manager, I provided technical and administrative support for all recruitment, personnel, payroll, field data collection operations, office operations, automation activities, and quality assurance procedures. I acted as a liaison between the local census offices and the regional census office insuring the timely, orderly, accurate and efficient completion of the 2010 decennial census. I provided training to all office and field staff, of 50 or more. I was responsible for utilizing and analyzing census operational manuals to prepare all staff in the planning, organization, execution and completion of the operation. I pinpointed production and performance problems and recommended corrective action to remedy the performance outcomes of team members to reach our team goals and operational success. I analyzed reports daily to monitor progress in the field and in the office in order to complete the operation on time, preventing bottlenecks, and keeping within budget while meeting high quality data standards.

: Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, motivating, and supervising multiple levels, over 800 people in all, of the Youth Services’ Department’s Arts Program, HIV Education Program, HIV+ Outreach Program, Mentoring Program, Adolescents Outreach & Family Reunification Program, Rap Groups, Talkline and International Pen pal Program. I also participated in the planning of programs that are responsive to the diversity of the community. I was also responsible for scheduling outreach events and collaborating with other agencies and other Center departments. My responsibilities also included managing grant budgets, forecasting and contract compliance. I also participated in writing and researching for grant and foundation monies. I analyzed reports daily to monitor progress in the field and in the office in order to complete the operation on time, preventing bottlenecks, and keeping within budget while meeting high quality data standards. I worked closely with all contractors/funding sources to insure goals of grant contracts were being met.

Managed, supervised and directed a specialty food retail sales operation with 6 locations and over 300 personnel with multiple levels of subordinate management. Responsibilities included forecasting and managing sales goal performance. I provided individualized store evaluations; coordinating recruiting, marketing and promotions, controlling budgets, staff training and coaching, motivating factors, troubleshooting operations and resolving problems depending on each store’s unique neighborhood demographics and diversity. I utilized daily reports to evaluate sales performance, and then adjusting strategies to decrease bottlenecks in production and customer service. I utilized Profit & Loss statements to monitor labor and production costs. I increased sales throughout district by 30% within first two months and maintained high sales records. Every year I conducted a one week Store Manager Training, with 50 students, in Park City, Utah, Mrs. Fields Cookies’ Corporate office.
