Oak Hill Children’s Center’s mission is to support the needs of families by providing quality early care and education services in a stimulating, nurturing environment that fulfills the State’s vision of realizing the promise of every Vermont child. Oak Hill serves children 6 weeks to 12 years old year-round, Monday through Friday. We offer high quality care and education for infants and toddlers, a preschool program, before and after school care for school agers, as well as programming for school agers during school vacations and the summer break. We serve 75 families, or a total of over 100 children, per year. Our curriculum is play-based and child-centered, with a special emphasis on social-emotional development.Oak Hill has earned 5 STARS, the highest rating in the Step Ahead Recognition System, Vermont's measure of quality for regulated programs. Oak Hill is a Specialized Care Provider, an Early Head Start Partner, a Pre-K Partner with the Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union, a founding member of the Bennington County Farm to Early Childhood Collaborative and participates in the federal Child and Adult Care Food Program. Oak Hill Children's Center was recently voted Best Child Care in the Bennington Banner's 2020 Readers Choice Awards.
