- Performs public works contract management activities include supporting the preparation of proposals, providing interpretation of terms and conditions, and assessing business risk. This duty requires detailed review of technical specifications, contract terms and language, and government and/or private procurement announcements.- Solicits subcontractors and vendors to provide work, professional services, and temporary labor, including the review of complex software, construction, and technical specifications to draft subcontract documents protective of company’s interests.- Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions.-Monitors contract progress and renewal or termination and drafts supporting correspondence and project documentation.- Drafts standard software licensing agreements, teaming agreements and nondisclosure agreements.- Assesses compliance with corporate contractual policies and requirements.- Prepares reports, correspondence and maintains contract files, including monitoring contract status and progress.- Analyzes public records law and prepares responses to protect valuable company information.- Supports General Counsel in employment issues, including investigation, filing preparation and strategy, and communication with outside legal counsel.- Communicates with corporate executives, customers, subcontractors and outside legal counsel.- Reviews, advises, and negotiates commercial lease terms and conditions.
