JUICE is an online library of modular learning resources covering skills in basic writing, math, and reading presented using context-based overviews, interactive tutorials, and games. --As a core member of a four-person team, was involved in all phases of JUICE activity, including content development, technical project management, quality assurance, usability testing, and reporting.--Collaborated in the JUICE application design process; provided JUICE user interface design requirements for software engineers.--Conceptualized and assisted in the design of online authoring tools that allow JUICE UI text and content authoring to be managed and modified by non-engineers and provide for rapid content development and updating.--Managed all phases of software application development and quality assurance. Provided oversight and assisted in LTI-based learning management system integrations with Blackboard, Canvas, and Salesforce. --Designed the JUICE content development process, including usability testing and quality assurance. --Managed the content development team to deliver 57 mini-lessons in 14 months, including narration, interactive tutorials, mini-games, extensive answer-specific feedback, and a “Picture it” feature that provided an alternate visual presentation of key ideas. Researched and designed a style guide for accessibility tagging and support. --Designed key reporting features and implemented weekly and monthly reports in Excel and Google Sheets. In addition, each month, was responsible for providing clean, accurate, and synthesized data from both the JUICE database and from Salesforce, College for America's learning management system.

XL is a half-billion-dollar online product that provides assessment, practice, and grade management capabilities for a wide range of disciplines in middle school, secondary school, and higher education.--Gathered market feedback, then created requirements documents and user stories for new end-user features to meet emerging market needs, as well as for content management and authoring tools to support fast and efficient authoring of more than 1000 online courses.--Provided advice and support to product managers for new feature development and major website redesigns, including localized versions of the XL site for use in Canada, the UK, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, France, and Italy.--Reviewed new feature proposals to ensure that they met the needs of all disciplines, resolving conflicts as needed. --Coordinated the technical design process for several major complex 3rd party application integrations and provided oversight for XL’s integrations with learning management systems such as Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle, eCollege, and Desire2Learn.--Diagnosed and resolved complex customer service issue escalations. --Managed two to three major software releases annually—designed quality assurance processes, created test plans, coordinated release-related communications, and triaged defects. --Provided product management oversight for the quality assurance and software development teams. --In 2011, led a team in the design and development of MyFoundationsLab—a major new mastery-based product for Developmental Math and English with an innovative graphically oriented user interface that was named Pearson “Product of the Year” for outstanding first-year success.

Conducted user summits and usability testing to define and develop requirements documents for new features and upgrades to the earliest web-based version of MyMathLab/MathXL. Assumed the roles of QA manager, development manager, and release manager for the XL team. In 2005, received a Pearson “Friend of Addison-Wesley” award for significant contributions to the explosive growth of the XL product line.

With Peregrine Publishers, designed and developed a web-based self-assessment product called “TestFlight.” Managed content authors and vendors to create content for Biology and Chemistry, expanding coverage to Psychology, American Government, History, and Sociology after Peregrine was acquired by Pearson in 1998.

As Technology Editor, responsible for developing a long-term strategic plan for Addison Wesley’s investment in technology-based teaching materials for Developmental Math. Created specifications for and managed the development of the tutorial software application and authoring tools that became the core of Pearson's MyLab and XL family of products.As Acquisitions Editor, responsible for acquiring new titles and managing revisions of existing titles to meet emerging market needs, increase market share and revenues, and maintain required profit margin, as well as coordinating the authoring and production of supplemental materials. Rejuvenated the 5th edition of the flagship Keedy/Bittinger Developmental Math “Trilogy” to increase market share by 100% and grew the Developmental Math list revenues from $4 million to $9 million and awarded Editor-of-the-Year in 1991.
