Journalism has defined me. I spent 32 years working at The Post and Courier where I learned a substantial amount in a great number of areas. My most recent area of expertise is management but I'm also a copy editor, designer, and systems trainer. I love learning new computer programs and teaching what I have learned. I also get excited about graphic design. I love playing with typography and elements of design that tell a visual story or get a point across. Branding was also part of my role at the paper. Setting a style for new products and making sure that visually we matched the ideas we wanted to get across was one of the fun parts of my job. Currently, I'm using my skills to help teach a journalism class at Palmetto Scholars Academy and volunteering with the League of Women Voters to help with their marketing strategy. I also trained and worked at the polls for this election.
