Supports approximately 350 undergraduate students from their first visit to campus through graduation (and beyond). Provides engaged, individualized, and proactive academic advising to a diverse student population. Plays an integral role in recruitment and retention initiatives. Helps students on academic probation create pathways to success. Works closely with Financial Aid to develop Academic Success Plans and ensure students are CPoS compliant. Ensures all students are making progress in their program and on track to reach their academic goals. Provides guidance for students seeking internships, applying to graduate school, and pursuing professional opportunities. Teaches PASS 191 and other courses as assigned. Plans, coordinates and oversees the Dean’s List Reception.

Worked closely with the Associate Dean for Graduate Education to provide advising support for online graduate students from point of admission to graduation. Administered onboarding communication plan, plan of study information, monitored degree progress, and assisted with registration via phone or email. Supported undergraduate advising efforts including answering student emails, lifting departmental restrictions on courses, advising alternate courses, and teaching the registration process to new students. Processed all current, incoming, and outgoing student academic status updates. Completed NCAA, ACM, Reciprocity, Veteran, and graduation certification processes. Compiled and distributed weekly e-newsletter. Edited website content as needed.

Created and implemented lesson plans that were flexible, responsive, and individualized for dual language learners and students with disabilities. Completed quarterly assessments driven by student data and communicated results to all invested parties. Collaborated with bilingual teaching assistant to meet the needs of all students and their families.
