As a concierge at Shift, I am constantly on the move, taking clean vehicles to customers and helping them find the car that is right for them, assisting them with the purchase process which includes applying for financing, filling out accurate DMV documents for them; I also travel to customers houses, or workspaces to evaluate the vehicle they want to sell to us, and provide them accurate vehicle valuations. While I am either selling, evaluating, or just delivering a vehicle I always make sure that the customer is satisfied with our service, and understands the process of buying or selling a car with us. I use Slack to communicate with my co-workers, the sales and purchase advisors, document coordinators, and more. We also use Salesforce to keep track of our vehicles, the customers information, and more.

As the Office Manager, I was in charge of opening and closing the office where I multi-tasked at a fast pace through out the day. I answered the phone lines, assist or contact our customers, insurance companies, or mortgage/finance companies with any policy changes, questions, updates that need to be made or retrieve any missing information; As well as follow up with them via email, fax to retrieve any required documentation. I had to be very detail oriented when it came to collecting and documenting data in the system to insure accurate coverages and prices for customers. I constantly scanned documents and uploaded them to customers profiles or manually input the information into our crm database. I have knowledge on the various insurance companies and products that we offer such as auto, home, and commercial insurance. I scheduled appointments for clients to come in and sign required documents or to meet with their agent to discuss their policies as well as record all cash/card/check payments received, or contact customers for overdue collections. I trained new employees and order and maintain the office supplies.

As assistant manager my responsibilities run in four main categories; Sales, staff, operations, and management. When it comes to sales we have to meet and exceed sales goals as a store, as well as our own personal weekly goal. As for staff, I assist the store manager with recruiting, training and developing a successful sales team. In operations I manage all store operations in the store manager’s absence such as scanning/ transferring products in/out of the store, updating product prices and visuals around the store. Finally in management I must lead and direct the store crew, while reviewing their daily performance and report it back to the store manager and staff. I also ensure we follow all Loss Prevention practice to protect the company products.

As the receptionist at Tanforan Dental Care my responsibilities were to arrive in the mornings and make sure all the files for the day are there, make sure the lobby is neat, and check the answering machine (as well as the emails, and mail) for any patient messages or inquiry. Throughout the day I would organize files for those who are scheduled to come in, make sure patients sign in and update/ fill out any necessary paperwork before seeing the doctor, check the patient's insurance, send out pre-authorization and claims to the insurance companies; I also send out statements to the patients to inform them of any current balance or past dues. This office is paper-based so everyday I would pull charts for the following days and file back the one's whose accounts have been updated. I answer all phone calls, take messages for the doctors and make sure they get back to them, make the schedule for the doctor’s and the patient’s and make daily call reminders to patients to confirm/cancel/ or reschedule their appointments.
