About Betsy Ashton

You can see me Wednesdays at 7 PM EST hosting a webinar for the Front Line Covid-19 Critical Care (FLCCC) Alliance and interviewing patients and doctors about the treatment protocols they are teaching that thousands of physicians are using to save lives. My solo art exhibition -- "Portraits of Immigrants: Unknown Faces, Untold Stories," -- reopens later this summer as an exhibition of the Museum of Urban Art in its exciting new space in the Samanea Center in Woodbury, Long Island. Details to come. Exhibited in 2021 at The OSilas Gallery at Concordia College in Bronxville, New York, the portraits and stories opened many hearts and minds in Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue and The Riverside Church in Manhattan and the Green Door Gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn during 2019 and pre-pandemic 2020. "Brought tears to my eyes. What an incredible story and show!" "Thank you, the portraits, these stories, need to be seen by more," are just two comments from the Guest Book. This show is designed to lessen hatred and fear by showing the American people who today's immigrants and refugees really are. In paint and in print, it explores the lives of seventeen newcomers of different ages, from a variety of countries, religions, and cultures, who live and work in the U.S. today — revealing why they came here, what struggles it took to get here, to settle in, to survive, and to thrive. The faces show character; the stories inspire. The show has already been featured on public television (WNET, WLIW and NJTV), on BOLD TV, in "Fine Art Connoisseur" magazine, "Episcopal Journal," and several blogs and online programs.
