The David Whitney Building is a historic 1915 skyscraper that is home to a boutique hotel, the Aloft Detroit, and boutique apartments, The Residences at The David Whitney.I assisted the Director of Residences and provided administrative support to the entire management team including Aloft management. My major accomplishments included streamlining operational procedures for The Residences, creating and maintaining a residential newsletter, and planning residential events such as trivia nights and a running club.

I retained my Assistant General Manager position when the hotel transitioned from Trans Inns Management to GF Management. During the transition and up to my departure, the hotel changed hotel names several times. During this time I oversaw the entire hotel operations including Sales, Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Food and Beverage.

I was responsible for Human Resource functions including payroll, new hire orientations, maintaining employee files, discipline and terminations, planning and organizing employee functions, and scheduling. In addition to operational responsibilities such as banking, accounts receivable and guest recovery.
