    This is a new initiative for the St. Louis region, with the goal of growing our St. Louis metropolitan population of 2+ million people by attracting more foreign born talent at all skill levels. The Initiative has sponsorship from St. Louis CIty Economic Development Corporation, St. Louis County Economic Council and the St. Louis Regional Chamber. There is a high level Steering committee and task forces already formed. As Executive Director, we will work with our current diverse population to understand how to make our region more productive and welcoming for them. And, we will work with the Steering Committee, task forces, many regional stakeholder organizations/businesses and interested people to attract more talent to grow our region. And, she was the executive to meet with sales teams on sustainability with key US retailers for common benefit.As part of her role for Nestle Purina, Betsy founded the St. Louis Petlover Coalition.Betsy brought 20+ pet welfare organizations together to develop improved community metrics and outcomes.Five year goals included reduction of euthanasia 50% and adoption increases of 20%,with the help of a local Advisory Board of 30+ Community Influentials.This also included work with the St. Louis City and County Departments of Health.A key outcome was her creation of the No Unwanted Litters campaign, its branding, website, donor materials and solicitations,resulting in the opening of a subsidized spay/neuter clinic in 2012.
