Certified to provide technical assistance, training and counseling to clients in a designated region of the State, advising clients how to identify potential contracting opportunities and obtain contracts with the Department of Defense, other federal agencies, state and/or local governments and prime government contractors. As a companion to writing grant applications, I started an online component to my consulting business training nonprofits how to win more grant money. I also served as a business consultant to grant writers wanting to begin or grow their own consulting business. Speaking at conferences across the country, I was a regular presenter for the Foundation Center, the Grant Professionals Association, the Georgia Center for Nonprofits, and United Way agencies, and was a regular contributor to Opportunity Knocks!, CharityHowTo, and CharityChannel. Responsible for overseeing fund raising development for the hospital. Duties included development of a fund raising plan including corporate and individual giving, grants, special events and employee giving.

Oversaw development of hospital employee giving, scholarship program and grants for multi-hospital system. Developed rural school nurse program resulting in a $600,000 federal grant.
