Betsy Kruk has over 16 years of professional experience in all aspects of paleontology across the western United States and Canada, including 7 years of mitigation experience in California, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, and Nebraska. Betsy has successfully managed several large-scale and multi-year paleontological projects, including surveys, fossil salvages, and background research. She has experience with project management, paleontological assessments, surveying monitoring, fossil salvage, fieldwork, proposals, record searches, report writing, and data management. Betsy has been essential to the successful implementation of paleontological mitigation measures for several Bureau of Land Management projects. She has supported Department of Transportation and major utilities, including PacifiCorp, Southern California Edison, and Pacific Gas & Electric, and federal, private, and local agencies in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, and other laws and regulations governing paleontological resources.
