I am an artist and professor with a socially engaged and research-based practice. My work explores the intersections between critical pedagogy, intersectional feminism, decolonization processes, disability justice, queerness, and craft, often manifesting in the form of collaborative projects, interdisciplinary courses, utilitarian ceramics, performance, illustration, writing, short films, and long conversations. My recent solo show, Queer Crip Craft Library, debuted at Depauw University in Fall 2022.I enjoy designing and teaching discussion-based studio art courses centered around contemporary topics in the humanities, challenging students to respond to complex social issues through art making. Some of my recent course titles include Queer Studies Studio, Shaping the Body Politic, Body as Site, Future Techno Imaginaries, Decolonizing Our Walls: An Anti-Racist Art Audit, 3D Strategies, and Ceramics: The Creative Process, among others. www.betsyredelman.weebly.com
