Oversaw 12 campers on a daily basis at this overnight summer camp for girls with Type I Diabetes. Planned and developed activities, oversaw campers 24/7, including during meals and off site trips. Provided campers with Type 1 Diabetes a safe environment where they can be kids and have fun while learning about their Diabetes.

Participant in the American Diabetes Association’s Eastern New England Youth Leader Program. Elected by my peers to serve as the 2010-11 Chair of the ADA Eastern New England Youth Leader National/State Advocacy Committee. In this volunteer position I advocated for the rights of young people with Type I Diabetes, spoke publicly about living with this chronic disease, and helped to organize the annual Boston Step Out: Walk to Cure Diabetes fundraising event.
