Sales has led me onto a new path to try stand-up comedy a couple of years ago, and I'm emerging now as a comic for personality and boundaries. I began to explore this avenue after discovering a close friendship was not who they first appeared to be - a humble, kind and well meaning person. It took two years for this to unravel, although there were red flags I did ignore. I was suddenly questioning and doubting my own intuition after being around this individual, and then I finally looked up one word on the internet. This then led me to a plethora of books, articles, youtube videos including TED talks on this condition found within the cluster B personality type. What I had thought was unique and quirky for this person, ended up being specific traits and a set of repeated patterns that have very negative and damaging effects on those close to them, and in business. After ten months of research, I am not an authority on this topic, but I know how it has effected me and now countless others world-wide. I was able to walk away safely and apply no contact, but I discovered quite a bit about myself that is positive, and am now able to take a situation where I was duped and shocked about human behavior into a humorous experience of self exploration and more awareness. So the comic relief is mine and my experience.
