I supported and executed the strategic community investments of the company and the Cardinal Health Foundation through focused philanthropy and partnerships with the brightest community partners. Since 2009, a key area of focus for the Cardinal Health Foundation has been the national prescription drug misuse prevention program, Generation Rx, in partnership with The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. I led the Foundation's national work in prevention education including program development, implementation and evaluation, strategic long-term partnerships with non-profits and content specialists, and prioritized grant investments in areas where the Foundation's support could be a catalyst for change. My leadership experience included developing and managing a $1.5 million grant program, supporting 45 non-profits across four states, all focused on delivering medication safety education to K-12 and university students.

I led multidisciplinary project teams through process improvement initiatives by utilizing the DMAIC methodology and other problem-solving approaches. Executed more than 20 short and long term projects that focused on improving complex cross-functional business processes and bringing more than $2 million in Type 1 and Type 2 financial savings to the company. Using comprehensive enterprise-wide perspective, I was able to gain buy-in, lead with influence, and communicate effectively with leadership, management and staff across the organization.

Sales and account management professional to independently-owned retail and alternate care pharmacies. Managed a territory of over fifty accounts in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island as the lead consultant in a three person sales team. I developed key partnerships with customers by driving value-added services that improved a pharmacy’s overall business, resulting in increased sales and profit margins for the customer and Cardinal Health. I was honored to be nominated and selected by management to receive the 2009 ‘Gold Standard Pharmacy Business Consultant Award,' based on excellent performance in results orientation, business acumen and innovation/risk taker.
