School of Biological Science (SBS) – The Putterill’s Flowering lab• The scope of this project revolved around characterising a group of plant-specific transcription factors called CDFs and examining their potential role in photoperiodic flowering in Medicago truncatula.• The completion of this project required a 10-min proposal presentation and a 30-page dissertation.

Together, we searched for potential science-based companies from various fields in NZ and invited them to cooperate with Chiasma in creating valuable workshops, forums and seminars for students, and industrial members to attend. Our biggest networking event - Synapse, has attracted more than 600 student attendees and more than 20 industrial attendees every year (those of very high profile include: Fonterra, Callaghan Innovation, NZBIO and Comvita).• For my Events Lead role, I acted as an event coordinator assigning tasks to my supports. Together as a team, we made sure that all our events and workshops ran smoothly and reached the best standard possible to attract more students and industrial attendees to future events. Show less
