I grew up in the North of English and embraced my industrial roots by working for many years in the textile industry.With a degree in technical textiles, I understand how the smallest of elements can make something beautiful or super strong depending on how it us arranged. This is true of everything we create.I am inspired by the things around me, nature, household objects and family. These appear in my works, but I also use my art to express my inner world.I work in pencil, watercolour, acrylics, textiles, metals and mixed media to create works that can be considered art, craft or blur the edges to make something that is other.
