Responsible for the operation of the youth orchestra program. Producer of 3-4 concerts per season & special events. The official "voice" of the organization - responsible for writing and content of all official communications (press releases, website content, social media, concert program booklet publications, external client-donor correspondence, text & electronic messaging to student body & parents) as well as in-house and public speaker. Planned & executed 3 successful overseas concert tours with the most advanced ensemble (2008-Salzburg, Vienna, Prague; 2011-China; 2014-Poland & Germany). Demonstrated leadership skills & organizational vision in procuring 3 federal arts grants for engaging American communities in the arts with innovative special projects to provide new and engaging experiences for students and the community. Sustained state arts grant funding and moved the organization up through the arts agency's required tiers in tandem with the growth experienced through the E.D.'s stewardship. Pursued exceptional opportunities to showcase students and the program to private, corporate and public sectors. Ability to manage and navigate through a large database in order to provide metrics as a check and balance against visionary goals. Competency in expressing organizational needs to database & web consultants in order to keep systems on the leading edge in serving our web audience (parents, students, educators & general public). Accomplished successful budget management & budget creation for organization as well as project-based and annual grants. Worked with the Board of Directors and managed and worked as a team with music directors and administrative staff. Provided leadership, compassion and guidance as well as a sound learning environment for over 300 student musicians ages 8-18 each year.
