- Direct activities of the Tech Support group responsible for installing all application code changes to test environments in support of monthly releases per audit requirements. Responsibilities include supporting 124 distributed & 28 mainframe applications in 912 test environments meeting SLA of same business day. - Managed activities and resources for the Sun to AIX unix server migration. This involved replacing 56 Unix Sun servers by moving 133 environments for 26 applications to IBM AIX Unix servers to resolve Sun server end of support issues. Due to efforts all migrations were completed successfully. - Successfully managed data migration off of business owned storage to enterprise utility storage as part of an enterprise Hitachi storage refresh project. Over $50K of saving to business unit due to overall utility storage rate reduction. - Analyzed various options to address change management and audit security gaps. Presented options to management and determined recommended option. Created executive summary to review with CIO and directs to obtain project approval. Built project team and managed resource assignments. Completed architecture and directed Tech Support activities for design, security setup, process and implementation of the Centralized Reference Area (CRA) project to streamline, standardize and strengthen audit processes and controls for distributed applications. - Worked with Legal, Vendor Governance and members of management team to transition support of off shore resources for Tech Support team from a non strategic vendor to a preferred vendor. This was facilitated by meeting with various vendors and putting together proposal which documented the options, cost, risks, transition plan and schedule. The recommended approach resulted in an annual savings of 17k for service while maintaining current level of quality and reducing risk to release testing currently in progress.
