Area C

Being part of the breakdown fitter team on the drills at Area C was like being part of a well-oiled machine, pun intended. We were a crew of knowledgeable fitters, each bringing our own expertise to the table. Whenever a drill broke down, we jumped into action together, pooling our skills to diagnose and fix the issue. From tinkering with pneumatics and hydraulics to unraveling the mysteries of electrical systems, there wasn't a challenge we couldn't tackle.

Sunrise Dam

Working as a breakdown fitter at Sunrise Dam was an unforgettable experience, especially considering it was my first role working on-site. It was a sink or swim type of decision, but I dove in headfirst, eager to learn and contribute. Fortunately, I wasn't alone in this journey. I had the privilege of working alongside some incredibly knowledgeable and experienced guys who were not only like-minded but also enjoyed sharing their wisdom. Together, we formed a tight-knit team, always ready to tackle any challenge that came our way. Whether it was troubleshooting equipment malfunctions or delving into complex repairs, we faced each task with determination and camaraderie.

Henderson

As a trainee drill fitter in Henderson, I embarked on an exciting journey of learning and growth. Transitioning from my apprenticeship, this role represented a significant shift in responsibilities and challenges. Despite never having encountered a drill rig before, I eagerly embraced the opportunity to expand my skill set and knowledge base. My time in Henderson primarily focused on planned maintenance and component changeouts for rig rebuilds. This role served as the foundation of my career in the drilling industry, setting the stage for future growth and development.

As a mechanical apprentice at City Motors Holder Dealership, I was immersed in the dynamic world of automotive mechanics. Under the guidance of experienced technicians, I gained hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles. From routine maintenance tasks to complex engine repairs, I honed my skills and expanded my knowledge of automotive systems and technologies. After completing my apprenticeship, I continued to thrive in my role as a tradesman, applying the expertise and proficiency I had developed to deliver top-notch service to our customers.
