Being part of the breakdown fitter team on the drills at Area C was like being part of a well-oiled machine, pun intended. We were a crew of knowledgeable fitters, each bringing our own expertise to the table. Whenever a drill broke down, we jumped into action together, pooling our skills to diagnose and fix the issue. From tinkering with pneumatics and hydraulics to unraveling the mysteries of electrical systems, there wasn't a challenge we couldn't tackle.

Working as a breakdown fitter at Sunrise Dam was an unforgettable experience, especially considering it was my first role working on-site. It was a sink or swim type of decision, but I dove in headfirst, eager to learn and contribute. Fortunately, I wasn't alone in this journey. I had the privilege of working alongside some incredibly knowledgeable and experienced guys who were not only like-minded but also enjoyed sharing their wisdom.
