About Brooke Eveland

First-generation college student with an aspiration for becoming an independent boss babe. My interest in business and inclination to help others has brought me to Washington State University, where I am studying hospitality business management as well as economics in the future. I hope to become a management consultant where I can help under-performing businesses become the best they can be through proper leadership and evaluations. My experience in the dance industry, as both a mentor and mentee, has taught me a lot about the importance of proper communication and working in a team. Competing in national competitions takes teamwork, especially when you're practicing with the same people for 4–12 hours every week. Something I had learned while being a mentor to younger students was the importance of trial and error, as well as patience. Everyone comes into class at different levels, meaning certain practices will work for some but not for all. This is why trial and error is important, because when you find the right methods for your particular class, everything starts to fall into place. The best feeling is seeing the product you created, in this case the dance piece, being performed in front of the audience. Seeing the smiles on both the audience's faces and the faces of your own students when they're performing creates a feeling of gratitude and accomplishment. I plan to apply these skills, along with what I'm learning at WSU, to the clients I work with as a management consultant.I believe I've been put on this earth to help others and always strive to constantly learn something new every day. Making new connections allows for both of those to be achieved, so feel free to connect and send a message!
