I assumed the role of Product Developer - Building and Consumer - at the end of June 2016. Based in Gernsbach, Germany, I am part of an experienced, dedicated and innovative team working to develop new market and growth opportunities.

I joined Dexter/Ahlstrom direct from University and after an initial spell as a Machine Assistant joined the Technology Group as a Laboratory Technician. In the subsequent years I have held the positions Product Development Scientist, Project Manager and Technical Service Scientist and Engineer. I have wide ranging experience in Wet Laid Nonwoven production and development working in the areas of Food, Medical, Wipes, Automotive, Fabric Care and general Industrial applications.I additionally have expertise in spunlace and spunlace compositive nonwoven production and development.I have experience working on production units in the UK, USA, France, Italy and Sweden.For Automotive I hold the European Patent No.DE69919581D for barrier nonwovens used in Injection Moulding. I am fully versed in Auto Quality procedures such as PPAP, Control Plans, and FMEA and administer the IMDS system.I have additionally Project Managed natural fibre and acoustic development programs in this area.In my current role of being the lead technical contact for key accounts; excellent communciation skills and flexibility in traveling to meet and support customers are crucial.Key achievements and accountabilities:• Fabric Care Account Manager: Key account manager for technical, process and development matters at number one customer of Specialities Nonwovens Group based in Ireland. Principal products are Colour Catcher TM and Keep It White TM, manufactured at Ahlstrom Sweden facility.• Technical responsibility for range of Automotive and Depilation wet laid nonwovens manufactured at Swedish site and subsequent extruded film coating prior to final marketplace supply.• Directly control product design, laboratory evaluations, pilot unit trials, production machine manufacture, statistical analysis, report generation, raw material sourcing, project costs/budget and transfer to the manufacturing unit. • Maintain a close key customer liaison in conjunction with Sales.
