Using the Instacart application I gathered groceries for user-submitted orders whileensuring these orders were delivered on time. I maintained my working scheduleand had to utilize time management to ensure users' orders were being completedas quickly as possible while preserving order accuracy. Utilizing the Instacartapplication I would communicate with the user when items were not in stock, Iwould collaborate and problem-solve by suggesting alternate items to replace out-of-stock items. I managed tasks within a given user order while strategizing in-storeon what items to get first. Since Instacart as a business is an “opt-in, opt-out” modelfor its order-filling user base, I had to be a self-starter in when I worked and howmuch I would work. This also led me to self-manage and set my own goals basedon what I wanted to accomplish.

Helped to ensure items were properly stocked to maintain customer satisfactionand in turn, company image. I was constantly flexible in what department I workedin, I would alternate between 3 different departments including produce, To-Go(mobile grocery ordering feature), and front end. As I was constantly changingwhich department I was assisting in, it required a great deal of cooperation andstrategy with fellow team members. In produce, I ensured the product was visuallyacceptable and not expired. While performing “To-Go” mobile orders, I would beexpected to make substitutions independently if certain items were out of stock. Asa cashier, I maintained professionalism during problematic situations withcustomers due to various scenarios while remaining efficient in checking saidcustomers out. In both produce and “To-Go” departments I trained new employeeson best practices and assisted them with any questions or concerns.
