• Working alongside the Operations team to ensure that all aspects of the agreed Schedules of Work are met in full for two national clients operating within the casual dining sector• Setting up and provision of routine support and reporting services relating to food safety, health and safety, fire safety, licensing and environmental issues, include the writing and implementation of restaurant compliance audit definitions• Responding to the clients’ directors on enforcement questions relating to the above mentioned areas•Liaising with enforcement officers on behalf of the clients following inspections of their sites including appeals to FSA Food Hygiene Ratings and applications for re-rate inspections• Collating data and undertaking trend analysis from the services provided and presenting the data in a Period Report and Executive Summary

Implementing and reviewing of the 'due diligence' procedures relating to health and safety, fire safety, food safety, trading standards and product safety across all areas of the business from setting the Company's strategy through to managing compliance within stores and distribution centresAdvising the Managing Director and the senior management team on legal compliance issues including the implications of pending legislation and implementation of the Company's Health and Safety policy to ensure the Company trades and runs legally and safelyUndertaking and reviewing the required risk assessments to ensure they are in sufficient detail, proportionate to the risks and are effectively communicated to all levelsIdentifying training needs throughout the organisation and the implementation of health and safety and food hygiene training courses commensurate with all levels and areas within the organisationManaging the interactions with the regulatory authorities (including Lead Authority/Home Authority) and directing the Company's response to potential legal challengeDesigning, implementing and managing the 'Approval' process for all product suppliers to validate the reputability of the supply chainDevising and managing the procedures to ensure the legality and safety of Own Label products including gathering evidence of supplier BRC evaluations, approval of product specifications and implementation of sampling regimes based on risk.Undertaking and reviewing the Company's Food Safety System based on HACCP PrinciplesEnsuring compliance with Producer Responsibility legislation (packaging, WEEE, batteries) including calculation of the Company's obligations, reporting of data to the Environment Agency/compliance scheme as appropriate and the purchase of PRN's to meet the Company's obligation on packaging wasteAdvising the Company on its environmental policy with regards specifically to waste management

Experience of working as an enforcement officer within food safety, health and safety, public health and environmental control sectionsManaged a team of approximately 15 enforcement officersOrganised food safety and health and safety inspection schedules Advised the Department on pending legislation and liaised with the Council’s solicitor in connection with prosecution casesLectured on the CIEH Advanced Food Hygiene course (now Level 4 Food Hygiene)
