  I am an ex-professional singer / songwriter and have founded this company very recently. I have started working with older people, particularly in care homes and sheltered housing, leading singing workshops. I also have interest from a hospital Alzheimer's Ward for occasional visits. I have learned much from the Alzheimers Society's "Singing for the Brain" Sessions, helping to lead several groups, and have led a session myself in the absence of the usual leader who was on holiday. These sessions are excellent and very uplifting and moving, especially when unresponsive people are seen to participate and come out of themselves for a while.My dream, which I am now beginning to realise, is to work with older people bringing therapeutic singing into places which currently have little or no interactive or uplifting activities available.Within the Christian Church, Herts International in Welwyn Garden City, I have led the gospel choir for some years, and I sing with the Worship Team. I would love to bring together a local choir for older people, perhaps from various care homes etc., which could do occasional concerts for family and friends.I also have other potential leaders, which would enable this service to be rolled-out over a wider area. I am a Member of NAPA.
