I held a variety of roles within the Project Management Institute - Nova Scotia Chapter over the years including Study Group Coordinator, Director: Professional Development, Vice President: Professional Development, and Director: Special Projects. I contributed directly to PMP Certification Exam preparation study group sessions for hundreds of local project managers, expanding the program across Atlantic Canada via Virtual classroom and internet conferencing. Under my direction, the Professional Development portfolio pioneered virtual and teleconference based networking events, reaching out to PMI members across the region. I personally organized and hosted the Chapter's first networking event outside of the greater Halifax area in Stellarton, NS in 2008. While VP of Service Delivery, my portfolio developed and pioneered the Chapter's highly successful mentorship program and continued to offer high quality networking and professional development opportunities. I was the Chapter Liaison to the Project Management Institute's Educational Foundation, an offshoot of PMI dedicated to providing global access to project management education in addition to management and administration of the NS Chapter's Scholarship endowment.
