Fine Artist (painting and drawing) born in London, UK. I describe my work as "Expressionist Pop" observing the energy in matter.Movement, represented through gestural mark making- using a form of figurative expressionist action painting in response to the subjects I paint.Beverley explores several themes working in series however it is the movement and energy of all "things" which connects her work. Often experimenting with unconventional as well as traditional tools and materials is a way to explore deeper ways of seeing.Currently building on an ongoing series in her 'expressionist pop' style "Never Mind the Pollocks" where abandoned technology, is brought back to life as works of art.Beverley studied and worked as an animator in London prior to dedicating herself as a fine artist, and was greatly influenced during her time living in Oaxaca Mexico - 2006-2011. Now working in a studio in North London - Beverley regularly returns to Mexico to exhibit and make new work.She has had solo shows both in Mexico and London , exhibited at the RA Summer Exhibition 2019, twice at The New English Art Club’s Annual Exhibition 2019 / 2020, Selected for the WAC Awards 2018, shown at the London Group Open 2017.
