My most recent role is Head of Academy for the Business Academy. I managed a wide curriculum area which included: computing, IT, E-Media, accounts, business administration and work based business learning. I was also a member of the Senior Management Team reporting directly to the Principal. I had a diverse team working together for the first time following a re-structure of the college. I managed five course managers and 25 full and part-time teachers as well as support staff. My responsibilities include budgetary control; staff and resource utilisation; development of the curriculum; student discipline; ensuring quality throughout the academy and directing the future strategy, marketing and growth of the academy. I assisted in the management of the strategic vision for the whole college as well as leading on several key strategic projects for the college including electronic 'Individual Learning Plans' and the re-structure of the provision for 'additional learning support'.

Multiple job roles including:Access to Advanced Level Learning Manager (reporting to VP)Vocational Business Co-ordinator (reporting to Head of Faculty)A Level Business Teacher (reporting to Subject Head; I had many management roles (running concurrently) within Sixth Form College Solihull, the Access to Advanced Level Learning was a cross-college initiative. I was responsible for bringing the team together, devising a new program and qualifications for the students and marketing the program to key stakeholders (students, partner schools etc). As the Vocational Business Co-ordinator my responsibilities included changing qualifications offered, aiding teachers in developing new resources, ensuring quality assurance process adhered to, writing assignments and co-ordinating the claiming of student's results. I was also instrumental in implementing 'Turnitin' throughout the college, an electronic anti-plagiarism software.

I ran the family owned laundrette business. This involved all the marketing; bookkeeping; budgeting; staff utilisation etc. We had 10 members of staff employed over four shops.

I managed a European Social Fund Project for the college called Quality at Heart. The project was a response to the foot and mouth outbreak and was designed to get training to tourist establishments through severally hit post-code areas. My main duties included working with businesses to establish their learning needs and then designing workshops or learning programs to fill that need. This involved training needs analysis as well as project management and an understanding of the needs of the business. The project proved a great success and I reach my two year targets within 14 months. I also helped to manage the outreach learning centre called the Enigma Learning Centre and developed and lead on ad-hoc training courses including Project Management, Customer Services and some IT courses.

I was the PA to the MD of an AT&T subsidiary, Easylink. The MD was also on the Board of Directors of AT&T (UK) Ltd a multinational blue chip company. My main duties included diary management; office management for six managers; liaising with other PA's throughout the organisation (worldwide); booking travel; preparing board reports; analysing marketing data and researching.; I was the Executive Assistant to the Chairman of Telewest, a blue chip multinational company, I was covering long term sick leave.
