I believe that by learning and growing together we can inspire children to achieve their highest personal achievements at the same time as enjoying individualised, innovative and creative teaching and learning.I'm the CEO of an Academy Trust that creates environments that nurture, encourage exploration, celebrate creativity and forge a love of learning. To offer this type of education, I invest heavily in the people who work in our academies. Great academies have great leaders and great staff and my team has leaders who have proven track records of taking under-performing schools to outstanding, and once there, maintaining that level of excellence. I've been managing people of this calibre for over 20 years and I take a consultative approach, flexing to fit different communication styles in an environment that is ever-changing.Throughout my career, the promise of educational opportunities for learning for every child has been at the forefront of my objectives and aspirations. My aims have always been ambitious, but children in education deserve no less and with a fully engaged team, they are achievable.Some of my career highlights include:- Achieving outstanding status in every school I have managed, including developing a school out of special measures to outstanding.- Founded an Academy Trust that has grown from 2 schools to 4 schools within 4 years.- Created links to schools globally, in which I became a consultant, visiting China and the USA to advise schools in improvement in policies, governance and behaviour management.- I've developed Art Therapy within our schools to support children with emotional development.When I'm not on the job, you can usually find me on an art course using my creative side to the fullest.
