Distribution in North America and Canada.I developed a 20-plus team, along with outsourced partner functions responsible for customer service, print management, sourcing collectables and packaging, logistics, order cycle management, warehouse fulfillment, inventory management, order shipping (parcel and mail), returns processing, credit management, product development, planning and scheduling.Key stakeholders included the marketing and editorial teams with whom I worked to develop product concepts, sourcing items to compliment publications and developing packaging solutions.Having full responsibility for operational P&L, service level reporting, quality management, contract negotiations, continuous improvement projects, and the day-to-day management was where I was able to make significant contributions.

UK sister company to IMP Inc. I managed the procurement and fulfillment for the UK market. Identifying opportunities for value creation through strategic sourcing, improved processes, and new technology. Collaborated with marketing and editorial teams to develop product concepts, manage all international and domestic sourcing efforts for both existing and new products. Worked with manufacturers throughout the world with specific focus on Asia. The ability to transform the operations function from multiple business unit concept to single business model was an exciting process and helped establish a new centralized European operational team and processes to deliver multi-market purchasing strategy.

Distribution in UK, Australasia and AsiaThis is where I really cut my teeth in the global market where I directed the development and continuous growth of product portfolio, led the product to market process from sourcing, cost proposals, manufacturing and end consumer delivery.Given a problem and developing the right set of competencies to solve it really paid off in this role. We were tasked with transitioning outsourced warehouse fulfillment functions to an in-house solution. This included setting up a new facility, hiring new management team and implementing process improvements and service levels to ensure product was fulfilled on time and to a high quality. We delivered on time and budget. I oversaw the product development, manufacturing, production, fulfillment, and distribution within the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and South Africa. Working with manufacturers throughout the world with a specific focus on Asia, we were able to find ways to save time, money and successfully manage the RFI/RFQ process for all sourcing projects.A key strategic initiative was to provide operational support for the China market launch and identify vendors to manufacture product locally and set up production lines to manufacture unique products.
