Currently employed as the office Manager and Community Resource Specialist of Southside Internal Medicine, I am responsible for a multitude of duties. These duties include working directly with our primary provider and CEO of the practice making impactful decisions to ensure that quality healthcare is provided throughout the practice daily. To enhance the fulfillment of this daily goal I supervise a team of 18 direct reports including medical doctors, nurse practitioners, medical assistants and clerical staff in the completion of their duties and the quality of their performance. I am primary contact for both insurance and hospital network communications as our office must also comply with the standards of our payor accounts. I communicate regularly with the State of Georgias Department of Social Security and Disability overseeing the completion of adjudication appointments for those claimants who need and have applied for such benefits. To assist the community in which the practice services, I establish and connect the patients with further support services that I observe would be of benefit to the individual such as home health, hospice or respite care services, housing assistance, medication assistance and many community support agencies. I also establish in home therapies, durable medical equipment, and Marta mobility transportation services. I oversee the receipt of critical results and patient reports (MRI, CT scans, Xray, mammogram, ultrasound, biopsy and cardiac testing reports. I use my current position to provide aid knowledge to the who are in need in this community. I am available in the office at the individuals' request if there is any need of assistance.

During my employment at Delta Area Hospice Care, I held multiple positions from front office to back. Working in a family-owned and operated business awarded me the opportunity to obtain as much knowledge as there was to be absorbed. I was then able to take that knowledge and determine which direction I wanted to travel in the health care industry. At Delta Area Hospice Care I learned from physicians, program directors, office coordinators, registered licensed nurses and many others. I held many positions from front office administrator, intake specialist, referral coordinator, and community support liaison. I performed the verification of individuals insurance benefits to know which services would be the most cost effective for the clients. Accompanied by a registered nurse, I performed initial assessments of the individuals and their environment to ensure that we could possibly satisfy the individuals' need/s.
