Lead and managed the Community Engagement & Initiatives team to build and support priority initiatives for the organization, including the completion of the consolidation of 61 local Affiliates into a single incorporation.Responsible for the development and oversight of an organization-wide volunteer engagement program and volunteer management technology system to ensure organizational growth through strategic volunteer engagement.

Appointed senior project manager of the organization’s consolidation to One Komen, the most significant change in our almost 40-year history. Transitioned the boards, staff, organizational functions and processes of 61 Affiliates into a single incorporation.Through facilitation, consulting, financial analysis, best practices in fundraising, Affiliate to Affiliate mergers, board integrations and strategic planning, empowered local Komen Affiliates by building capacity to better deliver the promise of Susan G. Komen to save lives and and breast cancer.

Provided board and staff leadership as a capacity builder for an organization whose mission emphasizes the importance of early childhood education for all children in Leelanau County, as well as the importance of family health advocacy. LCC serves as the only education/community health program model for children ages 0-5 in northern Michigan with centers in Leland and Northport.Highlights include:• Acting as a support resource and driver for the board of directors as the organization transformed its board and organizational structure with the goal of achieving financial sustainability.• Supporting and providing clarity and direction through financial analysis, strategic planning, fund development capacity building and board governance practices.

Provided direction and leadership toward the achievement of the organization's mission, vision, values, strategies, goals and tactics. Enabled the Board to fulfill its governance function and facilitated the optimum interaction between management and the board. Managed the overall operation of a $3 million dollar Affiliate in a nine county service area, including: representing the organization to the public/community organizations, policy development/administration, guidance to volunteers and committees and oversight of financial and personnel resources.Highlights include: • Serving as the catalyst for change in organizational development and mission service delivery based on a community needs assessment, which grew our reach beyond the local community grants program through advocacy, survivorship support, community partnership and community outreach.• Leading the organization to be recognized as the Affiliate of the Year, a prestigious and highly competitive award given to 1 of 124 Affiliates within the Komen network for demonstrating best work in moving the vision and mission of the board and organization forward through financial stewardship, high impact programming, and excellent fundraising growth and capacity.• Supporting community based partnership, councils and coalitions by providing leadership, feedback on best practices in organizational development and group thought for establishment of goals and objectives.• Serving with other key community stakeholders across the state of Arizona to provide council to the state department of health services on cancer priorities and cancer matters. This team also acted as the steering committee for the state’s CDC funded comprehensive cancer control program.

Provided direction and leadership toward the achievement of the organization's mission, vision, values, strategies, goals and tactics and was responsible for the overall operation of a $1.5million dollar Affiliate in a six county service area. Highlights Include:• Increasing the organization’s budgeted revenue from $800,000 to $1.5 million through additions of new revenue streams and enhancements of existing revenue streams. • Strengthening the brand of the local Affiliate to better serve the community as a "Community Contact for all Breast Health Needs" by engaging in a public/private partnership to create a media broadcasted "Size Doesn't Matter" public service announcement with a local advertising, marketing and public relations firm. The campaign won Best of Show and District Addys, as well as a Telly award. • Increasing visibility and service ability of the local Affiliate as a community resource by leading and managing an Affiliate facility relocation project. This leveraged community partnership and cause marketing to create a community resource library and community organizing location, thus becoming a centralized community connection for all breast health needs.
