Beverly Mann has been a feature, arts, and travel writer in the San Francisco Bay Area for the past 30 years. She has trekked miles of terrain from the West Coast and Canada to Cuba and Caribbean, Western and Eastern Europe, Indonesia, India, Vietnam, and China practicing her yoga and meditation on and off the mat as far as 10,000-foot mountain tops. Her stories highlight cities and personalities spanning the globe. She has lived in the caves of Spain, danced the tango by the Seine in Paris and in the streets of Argentina, followed the footsteps of the Impressionist painters through Provence, climbed Machu Picchu in Peru and Cinque Terra's precipice overlooking the Mediterranean coastline, zip-lined through the rainforest of Australia, heli-hiked on the 8,200-foot mountain ridge in Canada, participated in the ancient temple ceremonies of Bali, and combed the countryside of Ireland, Yugoslavia, and the island of Corsica. But one of her greatest journeys was recently receiving a 200-hour yoga teacher training certification from the highly esteemed Kripalu Institute in Massachusetts.
