Began as secretary to several account executives/vice presidents, including writing correspondence for one VP who was a marketing wiz but felt that I was a better writer than he was. Eventually moved to hands-on supervision of print production by creative staff from concept to finished product, working with experienced lawyer/client liaison to define the graphics needs of our litigator clients.

Began as assistant to cook, then moved to cook, and finally to menu planner/supervisor of cooks. Instituted better control of food quantities bought (reducing leftovers and waste) and planned meals that were more popular with both the meal cooks and the 100 residents of this housing cooperative. Before I left Austin to take a job in Houston, the co-op treasurer audiotaped an interview with me to help future menu planners be more successful.
