My role is to elevate partnerships between corporations and institutions of higher education on behalf of the CDHE. I convene industry-specific roundtables to discuss talent needs, educate industry leaders on talent pipeline, and collaborate with higher education to develop programs to meet needs. I also support CDHE efforts to influence policy, and partner with other state agencies to align efforts on workforce development initiatives.◉ Established Office of Industry Partnerships within the CDHE to focus on relationship-building with corporations doing business in Colorado, including Google, Terumo BCT, Ibotta, Slalom Consulting, Ardent Mills, Checkr, CoorsTek, Inspirato, Fluid Truck, Intertech, CS Wind Americas, and others.◉ Organized and hosted 25+ industry-specific roundtables between colleges/universities and companies. Discussed talent needs, provided education on current status, wrote trends and takeaways reports. ◉ Initiated a partnership with the Office of Economic Development and International Trade and co-hosted industry roundtables. Cultivated industry relationships amongst employers and created sector partnerships.

I served as Program Coordinator for the Senior Corps/Retired Senior volunteer program of Volunteers of America, a federal program organizing national community services. I worked within a lean team of 3 to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and provide educational programming.◉ Developed and maintained strong relationships with 600+ volunteers. Coordinated with volunteers from numerous corporate giving programs.◉ Spearheaded partnership with Colorado Consortium on Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention. Earned invitation to serve on Consortium’s Public Awareness workgroup in conjunction with Colorado Attorney General’s office.◉ Created educational programs and facilitated training sessions about the opioid epidemic to support the Corporation for National and Community Services (CNCS). Opioid Program showcased at CNCS Conference.◉ Partnered with 20+ nonprofits across diverse sectors throughout Denver, Douglas, and Arapahoe counties to assess their organizational needs with incoming volunteers’ skills. I was the first-ever Strategic Business Development Consultant hired at Verus Global, a boutique leadership development company that provided corporate training and leadership development programs for executives of clients such as Proctor & Gamble, Ford, and Alcon. My unique role was to seek out opportunities for business growth and expansion.◉ Built and launched a lucrative new line of business – the Nonprofit Division, and diversified revenue streams.◉ Increased nonprofit portfolio 400% in one year by establishing relationships with American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Tillamook, and WellPower. ◉ Established 15 new key accounts in 3 years by nurturing long-term client relationships with senior executives. ◉ Enabled future expansion into Higher Education and Federal Government by preparing Verus Global to be able to bid for contracts. ◉ Gained knowledge of various partnership models within a complex, rapidly evolving industry. At DMNS, I oversaw the volunteer program for Temporary Exhibits. I ensured successful exhibits by leveraging my skills in organization, communication, persuasion, and crisis management. I managed a budget and 4 direct reports.◉ Spearheaded 2 blockbuster exhibits – Aztec and Imperial Tombs of China. These complex national or international exhibits required collaboration across every aspect of the museum. ◉ Managed 2500 volunteers, the largest volunteer program nationally of any cultural institution at the time. 1200 of these volunteers directly worked within the Temporary Exhibits program.
