Robert Frost Elementary School in Kirkland, WA is a Title 1 elementary school. I collaborate with teachers, families, and community members to ensure out economically disadvantaged students receive the holistic support they need.My involvement in a Title 1 school allowed me to become well-versed in the areas of:- Executing case management services for 50+ families annually, specifically from immigrant, refugee, BPOC, and other marginalized backgrounds- Providing equitable wraparound services for families and students with varying developmental abilities- Advocating for students and families in school-based interdisciplinary teams - Implementing family engagement programs and learning opportunities specifically tailored to the needs of families, community, and school culture

The Fit5Kids study in the Department of Child Health, Behavior and Development is a Head Start preschool curriculum-based intervention focused on Latinx children reducing at-home screen time practices.My role as a Clinical Research Assistant includes:• Engage in culturally responsive family enrollment strategies through concise recruitment, screening, and rapport building• Conduct structured process evaluations to assess curriculum coach’s pedagogies reflective of early learning theories• Facilitate team meetings regarding daily curriculum execution to discuss teaching evaluations, suggest future modifications, and propose best practices• Coordinate with community stakeholders to secure partnerships for future collaborations• Sustain family participation and communication with weekly goal setting regarding child’s programmatic progress• Create resource documents/infographics to increase efficiency, transparency, and uniformity with partnered institutions

The mission of the Office of Student Diversity and Inclusion (OSDI) is to create vibrant social, educational, and professional spaces and networks for Students of Color, International Students, and students from other underrepresented populations. This is accomplished through building community, developing support systems, and exploring ideas and conversations around diversity and inclusion in education. The primary focus of OSDI is to assist with the recruitment, retention, and support of Students of Color and International Students by building community and successfully navigating their pathways in the College of Education and at the University of Washington.My particular roles as a Graduate Staff Assistant are:• Maintain the office's mission by sustaining daily office hours and appointments for undergraduate and graduate students• Plan and execute culturally relevant educational, professional development, and community building programs• Create weekly listserv newsletters to inform OSDI and College of Education community of local and campus wide events• Designed and delivered New Student Orientations for incoming graduate students of color and international graduate students in two consecutive years• Founded the Next Generation Mentorship Program by creating resource guidebooks, recruiting participants, training graduate mentors, and planning quarterly professional development events• Co-created OSDI's SMART goals in correspondence to end-of-year survey analysis, vision and mission• Work closely with 2 other Graduate Staff Assistants on a daily basis to ensure office and program flow

"ECFS 315: Parenting and Child Development: Influences of Socioeconomic Inequities in the Earliest Years of Life."• Independently planned, facilitated, and executed three lecture sessions to fulfill one course objective• Maintain weekly office hours and remote support via emails and phone calls to provide additional help for students outside of class• Attend biweekly course lectures to engage with 40 undergraduate students in group conversations and activities• Gained expertise in Canvas by taking biweekly attendance, creating group discussions, organizing modules, uploading files, updating gradebook, and sending out course announcements

• Maintained receptionist duties of updating daily appointment calendars, greeting guests, and escorting clients to specific destinations while providing excellent customer service• Directed 10-20 phone calls per day by transferring inquiries, taking messages, and providing information through clear communication and expediency• Supported senior account management in the eProcurement cycle of all monetary transactions across two budgets• Reconciled transactions with close attention to detail to confirm figures were in agreement across three sets of records over 5 biennia

The Child Language Research Lab under the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences is dedicated to conducting basic and applied research related to communication from birth through young adulthood. The focus of Child Language Research Lab is focused on verbal and nonverbal communication, and the clinical processes of assessment and intervention.My roles as an Undergraduate Research Assistant included:• Aided in the recruitment protocol of eligible participants via email and phone calls• Support in stimuli creation, data entry, qualitative language transcription, and human subject testing• Managed administrative duties including taking weekly meeting minutes and keeping online records of lab activities• Assisted graduate student researchers administer QUILS (Quick Interactive Language Screener) and PLS-5 (Preschool Language Scales) to study participants in real time
