My colorful watercolors include landscapes, seascapes, still life, gardens, our local Charles River scenes, Cape Cod & the Islands, Maine and many other locations. My detailed pen & ink drawings include wildlife, particularly endangered species. I maintain a year-round STUDIO of art in my home and you can visit me by appointment. People often commission work by me, or purchase many of my affordable offerings. I am now painting commissioned portraits of people's houses!

A co-founder of Green Decade/Newton in 1990, I served as President and Treasurer from 2000 to 2005: tripling the membership, expanding programs city wide, raising funds, hiring a part time staff person, helping initiate the Environmental Pages in the Newton TAB, serving as host on the Environmental Show of New TV, and co-founding the High Performance Buildings Coalition. I actively serve on the GD Advisory Board. I was Tribute Chairperson for GD's 20th Anniversary Event (June 2010).As we celebrate our 25th year, we've changed the name to GREEN NEWTON. Annual supporter and member; volunteer in various capacities in past years

Member of FUSN since 1980. Active over the years with many committees including Chair of the Board of Trustees and the annual Pledge Drive. I coordinated the annual Pledge Drive for 2 years and continue to participate as a Captain annually. Note that our "church" - which has a large social action agenda - hired a new minister in the fall of 2010, Rev. Erin Splaine, and membership is growing!

MADSA is a non-profit organization with 120 Adult Day Health facilities in Mass. as members. These programs provide day health care services to nearly 12,000 seniors, developmentally disabled & other adults in need of such services. The majority are Medicaid clients. MADSA advocates that funding for this cost-efficient health care model not be cut. I was pleased to be MADSA's first Director, set-up the office, make Site Visits to and provide services for our member programs, coordinate statewide meetings, help design a new website - MADSA.net, and work with the Public Policy Director on many projects and issues facing the industry.

Due to budgetary cuts, my leadership position at Newton City Hall was eliminated. I served as staff director to the Human Rights Commission, Youth Commission, Mayor's Committee for People with Disabilities, and as Section 504/ADA Coordinator - in addition to being Director of Newton's Office for Volunteer Services and coordinating the annual NewtonSERVES Day of Community Services for 9 years, engaging 1,500 volunteers in 55 project around the city that culminated in $150,000 worth of services provided annually. Over 1000 residents contacted me directly about their dismay of my lay-off.

Hired when MWPC was in debt, I built the statewide membership base and fundraising components to get this organization onto solid footing. Oversaw all management of MWPC - the membership body, MWPC Education Fund - a 501(c)3 non-profit, and MWPC PAC - the political action committee arm. We endorsed qualified women candidates for office at the local, municipal and state level of government. We held all kinds of educational workshops and trainings to empower women politically.

A national non-profit founded by Dr. Helen Caldicott in 1980, WAND has continually worked to elect qualified women to public office, and to advocate for just budget cuts to the Pentagon and military spending budgets in order to more fairly fund human and environmental needs. I served as Vice President, then President during the 1980's and traveled as U.S. Delegate to the World Congress of Women in Moscow, 1987. Please visit www.wand.org
