People often commission work by me, or purchase many of my affordable offerings. I am now painting commissioned portraits of people's houses!

I actively serve on the GD Advisory Board. I was Tribute Chairperson for GD's 20th Anniversary Event (June 2010).As we celebrate our 25th year, we've changed the name to GREEN NEWTON. Active over the years with many committees including Chair of the Board of Trustees and the annual Pledge Drive. I coordinated the annual Pledge Drive for 2 years and continue to participate as a Captain annually. Note that our "church" - which has a large social action agenda - hired a new minister in the fall of 2010, Rev. Erin Splaine, and membership is growing!

These programs provide day health care services to nearly 12,000 seniors, developmentally disabled & other adults in need of such services. The majority are Medicaid clients. MADSA advocates that funding for this cost-efficient health care model not be cut. I was pleased to be MADSA's first Director, set-up the office, make Site Visits to and provide services for our member programs, coordinate statewide meetings, help design a new website - MADSA.net, and work with the Public Policy Director on many projects and issues facing the industry.

I served as staff director to the Human Rights Commission, Youth Commission, Mayor's Committee for People with Disabilities, and as Section 504/ADA Coordinator - in addition to being Director of Newton's Office for Volunteer Services and coordinating the annual NewtonSERVES Day of Community Services for 9 years, engaging 1,500 volunteers in 55 project around the city that culminated in $150,000 worth of services provided annually. Over 1000 residents contacted me directly about their dismay of my lay-off. -

Oversaw all management of MWPC - the membership body, MWPC Education Fund - a 501(c)3 non-profit, and MWPC PAC - the political action committee arm. We endorsed qualified women candidates for office at the local, municipal and state level of government. We held all kinds of educational workshops and trainings to empower women politically.
