Beverly M. Griffor is a lawyer, psychologist, author, professor, non-profit worker, researcher, academic, mother, wife, gamer, comic enthusiast, anime lover, and all-around general geek. ​She sees her many roles as opportunities to provide service to people in need and bring happiness to their lives. She enjoys each and every one of these areas and feels as though each is an integral part of her. ​​As a private attorney, she is the Managing Shareholder at Collis, Griffor & Hendra, PC, and prides herself in her ability to get her clients the best results possible in their unique situations. Beverly has successfully represented clients in family, criminal and civil trials, negotiated business transactions, real estate deals, and advised clients in a variety of other matters. She is an MDOC-appointed parole revocation attorney. Beverly also holds a Masters in Business Administration and uses her business experience to assist her corporate & business clients handle transactional matters, business formation, seeking non-profit status, planning, purchases, and legal compliance. ​Beverly holds a PhD in Psychology, with concentrations in forensic psychology and neuropsychology. She has studied trauma, child testimony, and offender rehabilitation. Much of her work focuses on the application of scientific research in the courtroom. This blending of law and science is very important in cases involving custody disputes, sentence mitigation, evaluating the veracity of allegations, competence, disability, and other areas. Beverly completed her internship with McCaskill Family Services and is currently providing therapy through the Research Institute for Forensic Neuropsychology, where she has been involved since 2014 in various capacities. She focuses on assessment, complex trauma, mood disorders, and utilizing the integration of anime and gaming culture into therapeutic practice.Beverly currently teaches undergraduate and graduate-level courses at Concordia University. Beverly's courses include a variety of psychology, criminal justice, law, and family classes. She has led the development of graduate and undergraduate course curricula and has been on Program Launch teams for the Ann Arbor and Wisconsin campuses. She was involved in the launch of the International Masters of Education program in Family Life and is also a Professor in that program.
