 Managing GZT’s online engagement strategy, including its website, email outreach, social media, and digital marketing tools. Overseeing the design, development and distribution of all print and electronic outreach materials and other visual support materials to engage different audience types as identified in the communications strategy. Working closely with GZT staff and external resources to write and design content for all PR materials. Managing the editorial calendar. Managing the image library; responsible for keeping image library organized and for fulfilling image requests from staff and partners. Responsible for keeping photographer agreements on file and outreach to photographers for permission, credits, and caption information. Working on marketing and promoting the Great Grevy’s Rally to ensure maximum participation in these events. Promoting the objectives, achievements and impact of GZT’s work to all target audiences in order to increase support from the media, the public, peer organizations, communities, government and donors.

 Created the social media strategy and its roll out (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). Created content in the form of articles, photos videos and trip reports for social media platforms, website and mobile applications.  Managed client relationships. Responding to complaints, compliments, suggestions and queries on social media, email and phone. Managing the network of birders and birding organizations. Liaised with the technical team for upgrading and bug fixing on the app Sourced for new users through digital marketing and participating in birding activities and events. Managed the brand through consumer education and online public relations.

Created and managed a youth-targeted website ‘Running Wild Kenya', born of a deep-rooted interest in nature and climate management and conservation. This stint enabled interaction with like-minded individuals and put their thoughts and ideas into content and call for action. I was able to interview conservationists, green organizations, as well as nature lovers and share information aimed at encouraging the appreciation and preservation of Kenya's wild animals and habitats. I oversaw project management, branding and event organization, and digital communication efforts of the venture. P

 Wrote editorial, lifestyle and business news articles for the daily nation newspapers and online publications.  Represented Daily Nation at press briefings, public functions, exhibitions. Conducted face to face and telephone Interviews for news worthy material. Researched through past articles and relevant literature for additional background information. Created news pieces from press releases. Exploited all possible avenues including the web for newsworthy material.
